Helen of Troy is a figure of immense value residing within the fortified city of Troy, unaware that her prized jewelry is actually a relic of Wakandan origin. She is first observed from a distance by the infiltrator Memnon, who views her through a spyglass as she stands in the royal palace wearing a vibrant purple pendant. While the Greek and Trojan armies clash in a decade-long war ostensibly over her honor.
During the final sacking of the city, Helen is confronted by Memnon as she attempts to flee alongside her lover, Paris. Despite the immediate threat, she maintains a bold and defiant front, challenging the intruder to strike them down quickly if that is his intent. Her role shifts from a symbol of war to a practical obstacle when she is persuaded to surrender her necklace to the infiltrator. By the story's conclusion, she and Paris are permitted to escape the burning city into the unknown, stripped of the powerful artifact but having survived the legendary fall of their home.
