Major Glenn Talbot is assigned to keep Bruce Banner under constant surveillance. He shares General Ross's suspicion that Banner may be involved in the attempt to steal or sabotage the nuclear device, and he refuses to trust the scientist's explanations. When the Leader's Humanoid attacks the train and is stopped by The Hulk, Talbot accuses him of sabotage and has him arrested.. again.
At Astra Island, Talbot continues to monitor Banner as preparations begin for the Absorbitron test. When Banner starts to transform, Talbot tries to escape and later takes shelter inside a concrete bunker to protect the invention. He contacts the battle cruiser offshore and reports that the Hulk is trapped on the island. After the Hulk disappears into the sea, Talbot resumes the search for Banner and learns that an enemy submarine has recovered the scientist.
