Jason Wilkes works in containment research at Isodyne Energy and meets Peggy after she enters the facility while investigating Jane Scott. He offers Peggy the opportunity be 'Thunderstruck' and does so by demonstrating an unusual scientific talent by serving her a wine he has chemically modified through manipulation of oxygen and malic acid. Peggy asks him about Scott, and Jason explains that he did not work directly with her because he is involved in containment research while Scott was a particle physicist.
Jason identifies Scott's relationship with Calvin Chadwick and confirms that the two were romantically involved. Later, Peggy asks Jason to examine a sample connected to Jane Scott's death. Jason studies the evidence and determines that the condition may be transmitted through contaminated blood. Jason is later confronted by Detective Henry, who demands that he cure the condition affecting Henry's body. Jason helps Peggy track Henry and survives the confrontation.
