The Start of the Quest / Escape to Nowhere / A Prince There Was
Krang has seized Atlantis while Namor was away and declares Namor a traitor. He condemns Namor's efforts to maintain peace with the surface world and announces his own intention to lead Atlantis in an invasion of humanity. He imprisons Namor after capturing him and takes control of the kingdom as its new ruler.
Krang allows Dorma to free Namor and pursue the Trident because he intends the quest to become a death trap. He arranges for the Cave of Shadows to be sealed and later watches Namor's progress, repeatedly preparing additional dangers. Krang openly intends to kill Namor, retain the throne, and eventually make Dorma his queen.
