Thor "Donald Blake" Odinson

Thor is the God of Thunder and the heroic protector of Earth, living among humans in the identity of physician Dr. Donald Blake. When Loki escapes his imprisonment in Asgard and travels to Earth seeking revenge, Thor becomes the primary target of his scheme. Loki begins using magic to transform innocent people, creating a threat that forces Thor to intervene. Thor confronts Loki repeatedly while also trying to protect the people caught in his brother's schemes.

Loki eventually gains an advantage by hypnotizing Thor and creating a duplicate of him in an attempt to gain control of Mjolnir. Thor is tricked into surrendering the hammer, but Loki's plan ultimately fails because Thor's transformation back into Donald Blake when separated from Mjolnir breaks the hypnosis. Thor recovers the hammer, defeats Loki and returns him to Asgard to face Odin's judgment.

Thor's enchanted hammer is drawn away from Earth by Loki's magic and crashes into the chains binding Loki, freeing him. Thor follows the hammer's path to Asgard and enters Loki's magical forest, where enchanted trees attack him. Without Mjolnir, Thor creates a wooden hammer and uses it to fight his way through the forest. He eventually confronts Loki, recovers Mjolnir, defeats him, and brings him before Odin. Odin orders Loki to remain in Asgard and forbids him from following Thor back to Earth. Loki does not listen.

Thor returns to Earth and encounters Sandu, a carnival mystic whose mental powers have been increased by Loki. Sandu uses telekinesis to steal banks, move buildings, send objects toward the Moon, and eventually lift the United Nations building. Thor confronts him but is overwhelmed, trapped beneath a building, and chained. Thor calls to Odin for help, and the Valkyries deliver Odin's Belt of Strength. With the belt increasing his strength, Thor escapes and battles Sandu again. Sandu transports Mjolnir to another dimension and attempts to lift it with his mind, but the effort causes his enhanced mental powers to overload. Thor regains the hammer and defeats Sandu.
