Thor: Tales of Asgard
Volstagg is one of the Warriors Three, the largest and most boisterous of the trio, forever ready with a boast, a drink, or a hearty exaggeration. He throws himself into the group's tall tales with gusto, inflating the number of beasts they have supposedly faced with each retelling, a jovial glutton whose appetite for food and glory runs equally deep.
Behind the bluster he holds his own when the fighting starts. He weathers the brawl that erupts at the outland tavern and endures the bitter trek through the Frost Giant realm alongside his companions. When Thor's reckless quest brings war to Asgard, Volstagg stands with the other warriors to help hold the line, proving there is real steel beneath the belly and the bravado.
