Enoch is a Chronicom, a member of the advanced synthetic race now hunting S.H.I.E.L.D., who stands instead with the team against his own kind. When faces begin vanishing from the dead across the city, it is Enoch who recognizes the work for what it is, naming the enemy's method and confirming that history is already under attack. Methodical and watchful, he serves as the team's quiet caretaker in 1931, tending Melinda May's wounds and scanning the era's frequencies for traces of the hunters. Yet even his careful attention slips, and he turns from May's side to find that the recovering agent has vanished.

Newly fitted with a hunter's combat programming, Enoch faces a far harder charge than caretaking when the revived May refuses her healing pod and turns on him. Their struggle tears through the cargo hold, and though he is built now to fight, she still bests him, driving a sedative into him that his synthetic body simply shrugs off. He bears it all with his usual unflappable calm, even conceding, when she warns he hasn't the guts to stop her, that he does indeed lack internal organs of any kind. Pressed back into service, he works the era's crude radios to reach the agents in the field, unimpressed by the primitive devices but making them carry his voice all the same.

When the hunters move on Freddy, Enoch asks to stand with the team and joins the fight to drive them off. In the aftermath he lingers a moment too long, staying behind to see to the wounded Koenig, and it costs him everything: the Zephyr's window slams shut, and he is left sprinting across the docks as the ship blinks out of the era without him. Stranded alone in 1931, the ancient Chronicom takes the only road left to him, living forward through the years the slow way, finding shelter behind Koenig's bar and pouring drinks while the team he gave everything for vanishes into a future he cannot follow.
