1602-07-15 CE - What if... ? - Season 2, Episode 8: The Avengers Assembled in 1602?

Scott Lang arrives as part of Rogers Hood's company of outlaws, showing up at Stark's barn alongside Bucky Barnes to offer their services in stealing the Time Stone from Thor's scepter. He is cheerful about it in the way that Scott Lang tends to be cheerful about things that should probably inspire more caution. He and Bucky are assigned the role of trumpeters as cover during the court infiltration, which gives the two of them ample opportunity to bicker at each other in period costume while the more serious elements of the plan unfold around them.

When the rift tears open and the court erupts into chaos, Lang shifts to the work that actually suits him, getting Stark clear of the fighting and steering him toward the scepter. He rescues the inventor at a critical moment and effectively ensures that Stark reaches the device in time to make it function. The universe gets saved in no small part because Scott Lang cleared a path for the man who built the machine, which is a perfectly Scott Lang way to save the universe.
