Now Is Not the End
Now Is Not the End

Rose keeps the front desk of a New York telephone company that just so happens to never route a single honest phone call. She is the warm, pleasant face everyone meets first. Trading small talk and hat compliments while the switchboard behind her carries the real traffic. Behind the friendly operator sits the Strategic Scientific Reserve and Rose is the one working the seam, waving agents past the public fiction, into the classified work on the other side of the wall.

When Peggy Carter turns up for the day, the grim task of breaking the news falls to Rose. Ray Krzeminski is dead. She can barely get the words out, shaken and openly grieving as she tells Peggy how awful it is. She is one of the office's own, and the loss cuts her deep.

Rose remains part of the SSR's support staff while Peggy is being questioned. She works alongside the agents as the investigation into Peggy, Stark, and Leviathan develops and remains connected to the SSR's day-to-day operations.

Rose is the telephone operator that Jarvis convinces to allow him into the SSR with Stark's 'Confession'.

The Lady in the Lake

As Peggy enters the new West Coast Field Office for the SSR, she is greeted by a friendly familiar face. Rose, having been the gate keeper of the New York branch, managed a transfer out to sunny California when she caught wind of Sousa heading up the new office. She is beside herself with how much she's enjoying her new position.

Rose works alongside Daniel Sousa at the Los Angeles SSR office and remains attentive to the personal tensions surrounding him. She asks whether he has told Peggy about his relationship with Violet and encourages him to address the matter rather than allowing it to become more awkward.

Rose also assists the office when Peggy disappears. She is involved in receiving information about Peggy's whereabouts and helps communicate with local authorities. Sousa ultimately orders Rose to contact local precincts and issue an APB for Jason Wilkes, placing her directly into the investigative response surrounding the disappearance and Isodyne operation.
