1493-06-01 CE - What if... ? - Season 2, Episode 6: Kahhori Reshaped the World?
Kahhori is a young Mohawk woman living in the Haudenosaunee Confederacy when Spanish conquistadors arrive looking for what they believe to be the Fountain of Youth. She is running from soldiers with her brother Wahta when they stumble into an underground cavern and find a glowing blue lake fed by the energy of the Tesseract, which crashed to Earth after Surtur destroyed Asgard before Odin could hide it. A conquistador shoots her and she falls into the water, sinking through a portal that deposits her in a radiant other world called Sky World, where Mohawk people who entered the lake across generations have been living in ageless paradise ever since. The space stone energy has saturated everything there, and Kahhori wakes up with powers she is only beginning to understand: telekinesis, near-invulnerability, speed that defies logic, and the ability to generate force fields.
She refuses to stay. While the Sky World Mohawk have made peace with their paradise, Kahhori sees it as a prison that keeps her from Wahta and her people, and she eventually pulls the portal down to her level through sheer force of will and breaks through. Back home, she faces the conquistadors alone at first, holding off cannon fire and dozens of soldiers, and when she finally falters, the Sky World people follow her through and the battle turns completely. Together they drive the Spanish back and Kahhori takes her case directly to Queen Isabella, making clear she could end the conflict by force but is choosing peace instead. Before that peace can be settled, Strange Supreme steps through a portal and tells her he has been looking for her for a long time.
