When Shang-Chi and Kate board the train and the fighting breaks out, he turns that ability directly on Kate, pulling her under and taking her out of the fight at a critical moment. Jun-Fan's timely intervention breaks his grip on her long enough for her to recover, and she corners Burch herself once she is back on her feet.
