Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?
Milestone: Killed by Peggy Carter
Kills in this episode: 2
Heinz Kruger is the Hydra assassin planted among the observers at Erskine's super-soldier experiment. As the procedure begins, he makes his move, opening fire on the laboratory. He kills Dr. Erskine and wounds Steve Rogers before the serum can transform him.
His sabotage is the single stroke that reshapes the war. With Steve wounded and the serum's window closing, Peggy Carter steps into the chamber in his place. The assassin meant to end the super-soldier program instead gives rise to a hero he never imagined.
